“Bring the lessons you learned in this school and show the world that you are special.”

This was the inspirational line said by Ma’am Lucil Abaño, head of the Administrative Services of the Eastern Visayas State University-Tanauan Campus (EVSU-TC), in her closing remarks during the 28th Recognition Day at the Tanauan Civic Center, Tanauan, Leyte, July 7.

Abaño recognized the labor the graduands have toiled for years by saying they are a testament that despite challenges in life, they can achieve great things.

“The administration, the faculty, and the entire EVSU—TC community are proud and honored that we are part of your journey,” Abaño added.

She, however, stated that the journey does not end after graduation. According to her, challenges as high as the tallest mountains will come. But all the experiences the graduands have collected from childhood up to this point have prepared each of them to face the debacles coming their way.

With the education EVSU-TC offers, she guaranteed the graduands that their investments will pay off sooner than they think.

Abaño expressed gratitude to the University President for inspiring the graduands to do more. She also gave her full thanks to EVSU-TC headed by Campus Director Dr. Anabelle Pilapil, and to everyone present at the event.

Abaño thanked the parents for investing so much in their students and for never giving up on supporting the latter’s aspirations in life.

She ended her message by saying that EVSU—TC students are special and every EVSUnista leaves an indelible mark on the heart of the institution.
