Seventy-two graduands from the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) programs of Eastern Visayas State University—Tanauan Campus (EVSU-TC) held a mangrove tree planting activity at Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Tanauan, Leyte on July 21, 2022.

The aforesaid activity is in accordance with the House Bill 8728 also known as “Graduation Legacy for the Environment Act” which requires every elementary, high school, and college graduating student to plant at least 10 trees.

Last July 17, 143 graduands from the Education Department planted mahogany trees alongside Mt. Ambao at Brgy. Cabuynan, and Mt. Adil at Brgy. Pago, Tanauan, Leyte.
